Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Window & Door Assembly Operative to join a busy

manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling steel windows and

doors at various stages of production, both before and after the finishing process.

This role requires previous experience within the window and door industry, a good understanding of

assembly processes, and confidence using hand and power tools in a factory environment. The ideal

candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part

of a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble steel windows and doors as part of the production team.

• Work with a range of window and door systems and associated locking hardware.

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

• Assist with loading and unloading materials from storage areas and delivery vehicles.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

• Collaborate with colleagues to complete work within agreed production timescales.

 

Requirements

• Previous experience in window or door assembly is essential.

• Understanding of window and door systems in materials such as aluminium, PVC, or steel.

• Good mechanical knowledge and ability to follow assembly procedures and resolve minor issues.

• Experience using hand and power tools within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials when required.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work.
