The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and growing business specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality windows, doors, and associated products across domestic and commercial projects.

This is a key position within the business, sitting between sales and installation. You will take full ownership of surveys, ensuring every project is accurate, compliant, and set up correctly from day one—minimising issues and maximising efficiency.

The Role

As a Fenestration Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring all installations are measured, specified, and prepared accurately before going to production and site.

You will:

  • Check and validate all contract details before orders are placed
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies between sales, site conditions, and customer expectations
  • Ensure all surveys are completed accurately and returned on time
  • Act as the technical link between sales, installation teams, and suppliers

Technical Responsibilities

  • Measure and assess all installations in line with industry best practice
  • Ensure compliance with FENSA, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety standards
  • Assess site conditions, access, and structural considerations
  • Confirm product specifications, designs, and installation methods
  • Produce clear and accurate survey reports and documentation
  • Ensure all information is correct for manufacturing with no queries

Commercial Awareness

  • Identify any underpriced or incorrect contracts
  • Highlight risks or impractical installations
  • Support cost control through accurate specifications
  • Help reduce remedial work, delays, and material waste

Communication & Coordination

  • Work closely with sales, installation teams, and suppliers
  • Provide clear updates on survey findings and required changes
  • Support installers with pre-install and on-site queries
  • Manage customer expectations during survey visits

Post-Survey Support

  • Assist with technical queries during installation
  • Help resolve any issues on live projects
  • Contribute to improving processes and reducing errors

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in fenestration surveying (windows/doors)
  • Strong technical knowledge of installations and building structures
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • IT literate (AdminBase experience beneficial)
  • Full UK driving licence

What’s in It for You

  • Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
  • Bonus: Typically around 3% of contract value
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off
  • Flexible working approach
  • Long-term opportunity within a growing, reputable business

Why This Role Matters

  • Installation quality
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Project profitability
  • Overall business performance
