Job Title: Sales Consultant – Glazing & Architectural Glass
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Office-based (Kent/Surrey border)
Additional Pay: Commission, Performance Bonus, Yearly Bonus
Schedule:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Alternate Saturdays: 9:00am – 2:00pm (negotiable)
Role Overview
A sales professional is required to support a busy glazing business specialising in bespoke, high-end products
across materials such as aluminium, steel, timber, composites, and uPVC. This office-based role involves
managing incoming enquiries, developing client relationships, preparing quotations, and supporting projects
through to completion. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently while contributing to
a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to incoming leads and proactively follow up with clients
• Manage enquiries from domestic/private clients as well as architects, contractors, and developers
• Use negotiation, consultancy, and account management skills to maximise sales
• Work closely with surveyors to ensure smooth delivery of contracts
• Produce quotations and manage all written client correspondence
• Liaise with suppliers for costings and product information
• Process client documentation and handle contract variations (VOCs)
• Maintain accurate sales records using internal systems (CRM familiarity preferred)
• Perform additional administrative duties as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Previous experience in glazing, structural glass, or fenestration sales (minimum 2 years required)
• Strong knowledge of modern window and door systems; experience with architectural aluminium and
frameless glass is a plus
• Comfortable reading architectural drawings; familiarity with building regulations is an advantage
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and over the phone
• Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Self-motivated, assertive, and dependable
• A positive team player with a strong customer focus
Requirements
• Minimum of GCSE or equivalent education (preferred)
• Experience with CRM systems (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence (required)
• Must be authorised to work in the UK
• Glazing Sales Experience: 2 years (required)
