Job Title: Installation Manager’s Assistant — Double Glazing

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Upminster, Essex

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Double Glazing Installation Manager's Assistant whose primary focus will be working

closely with the Installation Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure that all works are completed to strict deadlines

and to the highest standards, enabling smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction. As this role involves

regular communication with customers, manufacturers, and colleagues, excellent communication skills are

essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule upcoming works for installation teams.

• Process customer orders promptly and accurately, ensuring all details are correct.

• Ensure all orders comply with manufacturer requirements and building code standards.

• Submit finalized orders to vendors and manufacturers for fulfilment.

• Track order status and provide proactive updates to customers and internal teams on lead times and

delivery schedules.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in company systems.

• Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely and correct delivery, including unloading

lorries and storing items efficiently.

• Uphold excellent phone etiquette and provide a professional and friendly service when liaising with

customers.

Key Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in order processing, data entry, or inside sales (preferably within windows, doors,

or building materials).

• Proven experience within the double glazing industry (minimum 3 years required).

• Current/recent experience in order processing for windows and doors.

• Ability to read and interpret product specifications, purchase orders, and basic construction documents.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Must currently reside in the UK.
