Job Title: Mobile Plant Fitter

Location: Nuneaton, Coventry, and the wider Midlands area

Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

 

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a leading team servicing plant and fleet

equipment across the Midlands. Covering Nuneaton, Coventry, and surrounding areas, you will carry out

maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a range of plant machinery to ensure operational efficiency and

safety standards are consistently met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform emergency repairs and troubleshoot faults on-site.

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections on plant equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.

• Complete service reports, job cards, and compliance paperwork accurately.

• Travel across designated sites within the Midlands area, ensuring minimal downtime for

equipment.

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and best practices.

• Liaise with operational teams and site managers to schedule and prioritise repair work.

• Maintain the upkeep and condition of company-provided tools and vehicle.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar role within construction, utilities, or fleet

maintenance.

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical diagnostic skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload across multiple sites.

• Full UK driving licence (essential).

• Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Flexible approach to travel within the Midlands area as required.
