Job Title: Estimator – Window Designer / Business Micros Experience

Location: Colchester, Essex

Salary: £30,000 per year – must be available to work 2 Saturdays a month

 

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Colchester. If you have experience with window

design or Business Micros software and are passionate about helping customers enhance their living spaces, we

would love to hear from you! As an Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for

glazing products, including windows, doors, and roof lanterns. You will work closely with the sales and design

teams to ensure precise specifications and timely estimates, helping customers create stunning, modern living

spaces.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate cost estimates for glazing products, including windows, doors, and roof lanterns.

• Work closely with the sales and design teams to ensure correct product specifications and design.

• Use Business Micros software (or similar estimating software) to generate detailed and precise estimates.

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring estimates are delivered on time and to a high standard.

• Assist in preparing proposals and contracts, coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers as needed.

• Communicate effectively with customers throughout the estimating process.

• Collaborate with the installation team to ensure projects meet the highest quality standards.

• Stay updated on new products and trends in the glazing and home improvement industry.

 

Key Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as an Estimator, preferably within the glazing or construction industry.

• Familiarity with Business Micros software (or similar estimating software).

• Strong understanding of window and door products, and their design and specification.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service.
