Production & Orders Coordinator

(Manufacturing environment – full training provided)

Location: London N17 (office based)

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

rooflight products for the construction industry.

The Role

We are looking for a practical, dependable individual to join us as a Production & Orders

Coordinator, working closely with our Production Manager.

This role sits at the heart of the business and involves estimating processing customer orders,

supporting production scheduling, and learning how our products are manufactured. You will

regularly engage with the factory floor as well as customers and suppliers.

Full on-the-job training will be provided, but you must be comfortable learning technical product

details and relevant building regulations over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Pricing and prcoessing customer orders from enquiry through to manufacture

• Assisting with production planning and job scheduling

• Preparing basic estimates and quotations

• Liaising with customers, builders, and internal teams

• Reading and interpreting simple construction drawings

• Supporting the Production Manager with day-to-day operational administration

• Developing technical knowledge of rooflight products and manufacturing processes

About You

This role would suit someone who:

• Has at least 2 years’ office or administrative experience

• Has a practical, hands-on mindset and enjoys understanding how things work

• Is organised, reliable, and steady under pressure

 

 

 

 

• Can think for themselves and take responsibility once trained

• Communicates clearly and professionally by phone and email

• Is comfortable working in a small business where flexibility and teamwork matter

Essential Skills & Experience

• Good working knowledge of Excel

• Confident telephone and customer communication skills

• Ability to read and understand simple construction drawings

• Strong attention to detail and good time management

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or building products

• Previous exposure to production, operations, or technical environments
