Job Title: Facade / Glazing Estimator

Location: Office-Based – nr Leicester.

 

Our client is a specialist contractor delivering high-quality façade and glazing solutions across the UK.

The business operates across aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors, SFS, rainscreen, and composite cladding

systems, including thermally broken façade solutions. Their projects span a wide range of sectors including

commercial, residential, and public buildings, working closely with main contractors, architects, and developers.

With a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality delivery, and a collaborative approach, the company provides

tailored solutions from design through to installation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to

exact specification.

 

We are seeking an experienced Facade / Glazing Estimator to join a dynamic and growing team within a well-

established façade contractor. This role will suit a commercially aware estimator with a strong technical

understanding of glazing and façade systems, who is equally comfortable working independently and engaging with

clients to develop opportunities.

 

The Role

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across glazing, curtain

walling, SFS, and cladding packages, supporting projects from tender stage through to pre-construction.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

• Price projects involving Technal and Senior aluminium systems

• Utilise software such as Tech Design and LogiKal to produce accurate estimates

• Assess project requirements and attend site visits where required

• Analyse material, labour, plant, and overhead costs to ensure competitive submissions

• Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations to achieve best value

• Produce clear and comprehensive tender submissions

• Liaise with clients, architects, and internal teams to clarify requirements

• Provide input on value engineering and system selection

• Work closely with technical and procurement teams to ensure accuracy

• Assist with pre-construction planning and cost forecasting

• Monitor project costs post-award where required

 

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in estimating within façade, glazing, curtain walling, or cladding

• Experience working with Technal and/or Senior systems

• Proficient in Tech Design, LogiKal, or similar estimating software

• Strong understanding of thermally broken systems, curtain walling, and building envelope solutions

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Commercial awareness with the ability to produce competitive tenders

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
