Estimator / Order Processor – Windows & Doors

Location: Feering, Essex – no hybrid or remote working options available

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Order Processor to join a specialist glazing business supplying uPVC and aluminium window and door systems to the new build housing sector.

This role involves preparing accurate quotations for large-scale residential developments, interpreting architectural drawings and specifications, and processing window and door schedules for multiple site projects. The successful candidate will work closely with house builders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are priced accurately and delivered efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in glazing estimating or order processing who enjoys working in a technical and commercially focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations for window and door packages for new build housing developments
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and tender documents
• Process window and door schedules for multiple site projects
• Price tenders including Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and lump sum specifications
• Ensure all quotations meet technical and commercial requirements
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams regarding specifications and pricing
• Support the preparation of commercial strategies and project cost planning
• Identify opportunities for value engineering to improve cost efficiency and profitability
• Ensure all orders are processed accurately and in line with project requirements
• Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Glazing Estimator or Order Processor within the window and door industry
• Strong understanding of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
• Experience pricing tenders and preparing quotations for construction or new build projects
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills

Experience with industry software such as:

• CAD / AutoCAD (desirable)
• Revit or similar technical drawing software (desirable
• Window and door processing systems (First Degree Windows Designer or similar)
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
