Job Title: Commercial Operations Manager For Window And Door Installations

Location: Colchester Depot

Purpose of the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day control of operational delivery for window and door installation projects. This role ensures all installations are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full accordance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operational delivery of window and door installation projects from planning through to completion

• Coordinate site programmes, labour resources, materials, and access requirements to ensure efficient project execution

• Ensure all installations comply with technical drawings, surveys, specifications, and company standards

• Oversee and enforce health & safety compliance across all sites, ensuring safe working practices at all times

• Monitor and manage site performance, productivity, and quality standards

• Act as the key liaison between commercial, order processing, and site teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project flow

• Proactively identify and resolve installation issues, delays, and site constraints

• Support commissioning, final sign-off, and handover processes with clients and internal teams

• Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations

• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and site delivery

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing window and door installation projects or similar construction-related operations

• Strong understanding of site operations, scheduling, and resource management

• Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction or installation environments

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple teams

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Location Requirement:

This role will be based from the Colchester Depot, with regular site visits as required.
