Job Title: Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Covering Norwich, King’s Lynn, and Norfolk Areas
Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, carrying out servicing,
maintenance, repairs, and compliance testing on small plant equipment and tools used in civil engineering
and construction.
This role would suit either an experienced fitter or a younger engineer looking to take the next step in
their career. You’ll be working on a range of equipment—from small hand tools such as disc cutters and
trench rammers to light plant machinery (largest item being a 1.8T digger).
You’ll be provided with a fully equipped van, stocked with tools and parts, and your appointments will be
pre-booked within your local geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and reactive repairs on small plant equipment and
machinery.
• Complete compliance testing and safety checks.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site, representing the company professionally.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively.
• Keep accurate service records and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Identify and report any additional work opportunities—bonus payments available for additional
jobs secured while on site.
What We’re Looking For
• Background in plant fitting, mechanical engineering, or tool maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across small plant and power tools.
• Good attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently once trained and confident.
• Full UK driving licence (driving test required on Day 1).
