Job Title: Remote Façade Estimator
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Role Summary
A skilled and experienced Remote Façade Estimator is required to manage the end-to-end estimation process for
façade and cladding projects across various scales. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of
building envelope systems and the ability to produce accurate cost plans, tenders, and supporting documentation.
This is a fully remote position suitable for a self-motivated and commercially aware estimator.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the full estimating lifecycle from tender receipt through to submission and
negotiation.
• Analyse architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, and scope documents to produce
accurate cost breakdowns.
• Engage virtually with project stakeholders, including design, engineering, and commercial teams to
establish methodology, logistics, and access strategies.
• Estimate a wide range of façade systems, including:
o Rainscreen cladding
o Curtain walling
o Light gauge steel framing (SFS)
o Render systems
o Aluminium windows and doors
• Liaise with supply chain contacts including subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants to secure
accurate quotations.
• Compile and present detailed tender submissions, including methodology statements, preliminaries, risk
analysis, and full cost schedules.
• Maintain communication with clients or PQS representatives throughout the procurement process.
• Support value engineering exercises and alternative solution proposals to ensure commercial
competitiveness.
• Assist with developing internal estimating tools and templates to support future bids.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating cladding and façade systems.
• Strong understanding of construction technology, procurement processes, and value engineering.
• Experience with façade remediation and fire compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, Conquest, Causeway).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Desirable Qualifications
• Formal education or training in Construction Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations, façade compliance, and remediation strategies.
