An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced designer with expertise in curtain walling, windows, and doors to join an established design team working on a variety of commercial projects across the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for new-build commercial glazing projects. • Review project specifications and develop clear design scopes for CAD technicians. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet design, functionality, and

budgetary targets while ensuring regulatory compliance. • Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed AutoCAD design proposals. • Identify and manage design risks, resolving issues as they arise. • Respond to technical queries from clients and site teams throughout project delivery. • Provide technical handovers to project managers while maintaining design oversight during

execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial construction or glazing sector. • Experience managing project designs with values up to £2 million. • Strong knowledge of building regulations and British Standards related to window, door, and

curtain walling systems. • Expertise in curtain walling, windows, doors, and glazing systems. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate technical challenges. • Solid understanding of how design impacts on-site installation. • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in drawings and documentation. • Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings. • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a design team. • Commercially aware with an understanding of lead times and cost considerations.
