Role Overview:
A growing opportunity is available for a skilled Solar Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial solar
PV systems. This role is ideal for someone with experience in renewable energy system design—particularly solar, EV, or
battery storage solutions—and who is proficient in using PVSol software.
Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will be responsible for creating efficient, code-compliant designs for
rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations across various commercial projects. This is a great opportunity for a

Key Responsibilities:
• Solar System Design: Create detailed layouts and engineering designs for commercial-scale rooftop and ground-
mounted solar PV systems
• Electrical Engineering: Design both AC and DC systems, including single-line diagrams, conduit layouts, panel
schedules, and grounding systems
• Regulatory Compliance: Prepare documentation and technical drawings for permitting, grid connection
applications, and regulatory submissions
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to support seamless design-to-
installation processes
• Technical Optimization: Assist with equipment selection, material specification, and system configuration to
balance performance and cost
• Quality Control: Verify system specifications and installation plans to ensure compliance with industry standards
and best practices
Requirements:
• Experience in solar PV design, with a strong understanding of renewable technologies (solar, battery storage, or EV
preferred)
• Proficiency in using PVSol or similar solar design software
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and relevant UK regulations
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and documentation
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant qualifications in electrical or renewable energy engineering are advantageous
