Job Title: Renewables Electrician
Location: Bedford
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: £40,000 – £80,000 per year (depending on experience and contract type)
Working Hours: 8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)
Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting experienced and motivated Renewables Electricians to support the delivery of solar photovoltaic
(PV) and air/ground source heat pump systems across a range of residential, commercial, and social housing projects. This is

Key Responsibilities:
• Installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems and air/ground source heat pumps.
• Conduct electrical wiring, system integration, and connection to inverters and control units.
• Ensure compliance with current regulatory and health & safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades.
• Complete all necessary documentation and customer handover requirements.
• Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support when required.
Essential Requirements:
• Demonstrable experience in installing solar PV systems and/or renewable heating systems.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as:
o 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
o NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
o ECS Gold Card or equivalent
• Strong understanding of current electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of battery storage systems and EV charger installations
• Additional certifications such as G98/G99, Part P, or heat pump installer training
• Experience working within social housing or large-scale commercial environments
