Automatic Door Maintenance Engineer
Our client is a well-established manufacturer/installer of aluminium shopfronts and automatic door systems based in Dartford, Kent. They are looking to recruit an experienced Automatic Door Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding service team.
This is a field-based role carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repairs to automatic door systems across commercial, industrial and public sector sites throughout London, the South East and when required nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Service and repair automatic door systems.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
- Replace defective components and carry out adjustments.
- Test and inspect safety devices and door operating systems.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Advise customers of repair recommendations where appropriate.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining automatic door systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.

The nature of the role requires flexibility with hours. You must be able to stay away from home as necessary.
