Job Title: Sales Consultant – Home Improvement Products Reports to: Sales and Marketing Director Position Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Essex, Kent and Suffolk areas (Field-based with visits to customer homes) Travel Required: Yes
Job Role We are seeking a talented Sales Consultant to sell the very latest and most innovative product ranges within our sector, specialising in conservatories, windows, and home extensions. You will attend appointments across Hertfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk, providing customers with expert guidance from initial consultation to sale. Successful candidates will have experience selling conservatories and a good working knowledge of 3D drawing systems used for design and pricing. Full sales and product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Attend pre-arranged appointments in customers’ homes, carrying out surveys and providing accurate quotations.
• Consult with customers, recommending solutions based on their specific requirements and preferences.
• Present and sell product features and benefits effectively to achieve sales. • Use 3D drawing/design software to create visual representations for customers and assist with
pricing. • Provide a first-class customer experience from enquiry to order. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product ranges, pricing structures, and industry
developments. • Adhere to company policies and compliance standards at all times. • Represent the brand professionally, maintaining high standards of integrity and customer
service.
Requirements
• Proven experience selling conservatories or other home improvement products directly to consumers.
• Knowledge of 3D drawing/design software for design and pricing. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong customer-focused approach with the ability to understand individual needs. • Highly motivated and results-driven. • Willingness to travel extensively across Hertfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk. • Full UK driving licence required.
Desirable
• Experience with home visit sales and remote consultation models. • Familiarity with CRM and appointment scheduling systems. • Knowledge of installation procedures and home improvement planning requirements.
