About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Credit Controller to support our finance function on a flexible,
ad-hoc basis. This is a remote role ideally suited to a professional with experience in credit control,
invoicing, forecasting, and bank reconciliation.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of chasing outstanding payments, handling client
communication tactfully and firmly—balancing professionalism with persistence. You’ll be stepping into
a role currently covered by our MD, and your ability to take this over smoothly and independently will be
key.
Key Responsibilities
• Raise and issue client invoices using Xero
• Conduct follow-up calls and emails to chase overdue payments
• Build relationships with clients while enforcing payment terms effectively
• Perform bank reconciliations in Xero
• Assist with cash flow forecasting
• Maintain accurate records of communications and outstanding debtors
• Report back to the team on account statuses and flag any risk accounts
Requirements
• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial admin
• Confident communicator with a firm but diplomatic approach
• Experience using Xero accounting software
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage workload without fixed hours
