Job Title: Junior CAD Designer

 

Office Location: Dartford, Kent

Holidays: 20 days plus Bank Holidays

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically-minded individual to join our CAD design department. You will

work closely with our experienced team to support the design and development of our projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Junior CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing shop fronts, entrances, and curtain walling

systems using AutoCAD. You will take projects from the initial survey phase to the final approved drawing for our

clients. This role will be carried out under the guidance of our senior CAD team.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team alongside the Projects department.

• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients via phone and email.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently to deadlines.

• Problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for design details.

• Reliable, honest, and dedicated.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (we use AutoCAD as our primary design software).

• A good team player with a positive attitude towards collaboration.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

While experience in glazing, shopfront framing, and curtain walling is advantageous, full training will be provided.

The ideal candidate should have some familiarity with CAD systems and a basic understanding of structural

requirements within the construction industry.
