Job Title: Estimator
Role Overview:
We are seeking an organised and proactive Estimator to join our team and contribute to the success of our
projects. This is a key position that will allow you to make a significant impact on the growth of the business by
producing accurate estimates and managing the estimating process.
Location: Dartford, Kent (Office-based)
Working Hours: Flexible - Full-time or Part-time (5 days a week) depending on the applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop accurate and competitive estimates for the supply and installation of aluminium and glass
commercial entrances, shopfronts, and curtain wall systems.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and the production team to ensure project requirements are clearly
understood and met.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, securing repeat business and fostering trust.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
• Assess project costs, ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, including ventilation and U-
values.
• Use industry-specific software (Technal, V6 Smarts, Logikal) to produce detailed and precise quotations.
• Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing workloads
to meet targets.
• Continuously strive for operational improvements and efficiency in all aspects of work.
• Provide exceptional service, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met and exceeded.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience in the fenestration industry, with a solid understanding of the design, fabrication, and
installation of aluminium and glass systems.
• Proficiency in the use of Technal software, V6 Smarts, and Logikal. A willingness to learn other aluminium
systems is essential.
• Sound knowledge of building regulations, including ventilation and U-values.
• Competence with Microsoft Office software packages.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport and maintain
positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Highly organised with a self-motivated approach to work, and the ability to manage time effectively in a
demanding environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
• A commitment to delivering high levels of service and exceeding customer expectations.
