Role Overview

As Special Projects Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in securing and delivering high-quality projects. Your responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Tender Management

• Prepare, advise, and secure work through established tender procedures.

• Compile accurate cost plans and review bids prior to submission.

Client & Consultant Meetings

• Attend and contribute to early project discussions with clients and consultants.

• Provide input on design, preliminary budgets, material costs, and schedules.

Contract Preparation & Execution

• Draft and execute trade contracts.

• Support the Sales & Estimating Manager and Special Projects Operations Director with team onboarding, ensuring

knowledge transfer to the Construction phase.

Prospective Project Planning

Client Relationship Management

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven experience in construction, with a focus on estimating and project management for residential and

commercial projects.

• Strong knowledge of glazing, cladding, façade, and building envelope sectors, including fire remediation and façade

replacement.

• Proficiency with Causeway, SchuCal, and LogiKal software.

• Solid understanding of UK design and construction methodologies, both in administration and on-site practices.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Wolverhampton Office (occasional travel to project sites across the UK)

Role Overview

An established specialist contractor in the façade and architectural glazing sector is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join

its commercial team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to work on a variety of technically

complex and high-value construction projects, supporting both pre- and post-contract activities.

You will work closely with commercial, estimating, and site teams to ensure cost-effective delivery and full commercial

control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract

• Manage and control all relevant commercial documentation.

• Conduct quantity take-offs for tendering, cost planning, and budget analysis.

• Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial bids.

• Identify potential errors, risks, and value engineering opportunities in tender documents.

• Collaborate with the estimating team as needed.

Post-Contract

• Manage project documentation and commercial records.

• Appoint subcontractors under agreed contract terms.

• Administer subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, contra-charges, and notices (e.g., payless or

Job Title: Remote Façade Estimator

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Role Summary

A skilled and experienced Remote Façade Estimator is required to manage the end-to-end estimation process for

façade and cladding projects across various scales. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of

building envelope systems and the ability to produce accurate cost plans, tenders, and supporting documentation.

This is a fully remote position suitable for a self-motivated and commercially aware estimator.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the full estimating lifecycle from tender receipt through to submission and

negotiation.

• Analyse architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, and scope documents to produce

accurate cost breakdowns.

• Engage virtually with project stakeholders, including design, engineering, and commercial teams to

establish methodology, logistics, and access strategies.

• Estimate a wide range of façade systems, including:

o Rainscreen cladding

o Curtain walling

o Light gauge steel framing (SFS)

o Render systems

o Aluminium windows and doors

• Liaise with supply chain contacts including subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants to secure

accurate quotations.

• Compile and present detailed tender submissions, including methodology statements, preliminaries, risk

analysis, and full cost schedules.

• Maintain communication with clients or PQS representatives throughout the procurement process.

• Support value engineering exercises and alternative solution proposals to ensure commercial
