Job Title: Part-time Accounts Assistant
Location: Witham, Essex
Working Pattern: 2 days per week – Tuesday and Thursday (8:30am – 5:00pm, including a 1-hour
lunch break)
Job Description
• Carry out credit control duties, including professionally following up on overdue accounts.
• Support sales ledger processes, including raising invoices and allocating incoming payments.
• Manage shared accounts inboxes, ensuring emails are reviewed, prioritised, and responded to in a
timely manner.
• Set up and process bank payments.
• Match purchase orders with delivery notes.
• Reconcile fuel receipts against invoices.
• Process credit notes efficiently and accurately.
• Handle bulk data processing tasks.
• Review and check corporate card statements.
• Monitor credit card transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Identify and follow up on missing invoices.
• Manage petty cash records.
• Issue customer statements.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.

Person Specification
• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or finance administration role.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.
Additional Information:
This role will initially be 2 days per week, with the potential to increase hours over time.
