Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Plant Manager to oversee daily operations,

performance, and compliance across our site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing

both office-based and field operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently

met.

You will have direct responsibility for a team of 10 staff, consisting of 5 office-based employees and 5

field engineers, and will play a key role in driving productivity, communication, and continuous

improvement across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the plant/site

• Directly manage and support 5 office staff (administration, scheduling, coordination)

• Directly manage and support 5 field engineers, ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor workloads, schedules, and resources

• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and company policies

• Monitor operational performance, KPIs, and productivity targets

• Liaise with senior management, suppliers, and external stakeholders

• Manage plant equipment, vehicles, tools, and maintenance schedules

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime

• Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing staff development

• Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and record keeping

 

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role

• Experience managing both office-based and field-based teams

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

• Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations

• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands

• Strong communication skills at all levels
