Job Description
Job Title: General Assistant – High-End Fenestration Projects
Location: Draycott
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm - Full-time | On-site
About the Company
We are a specialist supplier of high-end, architecturally led glazing solutions for homeowners and
contractors working on premium residential projects.
Our team is small but we are part of a larger, well-established construction group of over 80 staff,
including joinery, plumbing and electrical divisions. This gives you the stability and support of a larger
business while working in a close-knit, specialist environment.
We have just moved into brand-new premises with a showroom and spacious parking.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated General Assistant to work directly alongside the Company Director, acting as
his right-hand person. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain
broad experience, develop new skills and grow with the company.
This role will be varied and hands-on. You’ll support office operations, learn the estimating and ordering
process, liaise with the workshop, and meet customers at our showroom and on site.
You will be trained across the business and given responsibility as you progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with administration, document control and CRM updates
• Support with quoting and estimating (using Windowmaker software — training provided)
• Help with ordering materials, managing suppliers & logistics
• Liaise with the workshop and installation team
• Attend client appointments and showroom meetings
• Provide excellent customer service to a high-end, niche client base
• Support the Director in day-to-day operations, learning all aspects of the business
Ideal profile:
• Experience in UPVC or aluminium windows/doors
• Familiarity with fenestration software (bonus)
• Strong communication & organisational skills
• Personable, friendly, professional presence
• Hands-on attitude with willingness to get involved across the business
• Confident liaising with high-value clients
• Full UK driving licence (to attend customer visits)
Please note:
We are not seeking candidates from the steel window sector — we want someone we can cross-train
from UPVC/Aluminium backgrounds.
