Job Title: Conservatory Designer / Surveyor

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Conservatory Designer / Surveyor to join our team in Cheltenham. This is

a key role responsible for surveying residential properties, producing accurate technical designs, and

supporting the successful delivery of bespoke conservatory projects.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience surveying conservatories and designing conservatory

structures using CAD or similar design software. You will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong

attention to detail, and the ability to transform customer requirements into practical, buildable designs.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site surveys for conservatory projects at residential properties.

• Accurately measure and assess existing structures, levels, drainage, and site conditions.

• Produce technical drawings and designs using CAD or other relevant design software.

• Design conservatories that meet customer requirements while ensuring structural feasibility and

compliance with relevant regulations.

• Prepare survey reports, technical specifications, and installation documentation.

• Liaise with customers, installation teams, and suppliers to ensure project accuracy.

• Identify and resolve potential design or installation issues before work commences.

• Ensure all designs are compliant with current building regulations and industry standards.

• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience surveying conservatories.

• Previous experience designing conservatories and glazed extensions.

• Proficient in CAD software or equivalent design packages.

• Strong understanding of conservatory construction methods and roofing systems.

• Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

 

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of building regulations relating to conservatories and home improvements.

• Experience working with uPVC, aluminium, and timber conservatory systems.

• Experience producing working drawings for manufacturing and installation teams.

• Understanding of structural requirements and foundation considerations.
