Key Responsibilities

• Process driving assessment records for all new drivers. • Monitor unauthorised use of vehicles and manage cases from start to finish. • Investigate drivers against compliance requirements across work streams. • Conduct regular checks to ensure drivers remain compliant (e.g., driving licences, vehicle use,

assessments). • Handle driver care calls and complaints from initial contact through resolution. • Manage and process Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) from police for speeding offences. • Produce weekly and monthly reports, maintaining data accuracy in Excel and other systems.

Skills & Experience Required

Job Title: Motor Claims Handler – Job Description Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire Hours: 9am – 5pm Overview This role involves providing first-line support for motor claims, managing the full claims process for vehicle accidents, and acting as a key communication point between insurers, third parties and drivers. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process accident claim forms and supporting documentation. • Investigate accident circumstances to determine liability. • Manage first notification of loss (FNOL) and oversee both fault and non-fault claims through to

completion. • Raise invoices for non-fault claims and process payments for accepted liability on fault claims. • Maintain daily communication with insurers, solicitors and internal teams regarding ongoing cases. • Oversee claims involving intervention services and liaise with relevant suppliers. • Arrange independent damage assessments for insurance purposes. • Input and maintain accurate claims information on internal systems. • Liaise with multiple sites to obtain outstanding accident forms, photographs and any required

documents. • Negotiate claim settlement figures to achieve the best possible outcome. • Compile and present regular claims reports for management review (e.g., weekly accident summaries). • Respond to calls from drivers regarding accidents, claims progress and potential excess charges. • Operate the 24-hour accident line during office hours. • Manage and respond to written correspondence relating to road traffic accident claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Highway Excavation: Carry out precise excavations in highways, adhering to the NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47 regulations.

• Duct Installation: Install new ducting in accordance with industry and project standards. • Blockage Clearance: Identify and remove blockages to maintain optimal network performance. • Rod, Rope, and Testing: Perform rod and rope activities and comprehensive network testing. • Compliance: Ensure all works meet the Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in

Highways (SROH). • Customer Engagement: Visit customer premises to facilitate fibre installations, including cabling

from distribution points to properties. • Consultative Communication: Discuss planned excavation works with customers and provide

clear, professional updates. • Safety First: Operate safely within underground and PIA networks, following all relevant Health

and Safety legislation and company procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Full UK Driving Licence: Held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points. • Mandatory Qualifications:

o In-date NRSWA (Street Works) Operative Card holding the following units as a minimum: ▪ Unit 001 – Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus ▪ Unit 002 – Signing, Lighting and Guarding ▪ Unit 003 – Excavation in the Highway ▪ Unit 004 – Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials

▪ Unit 005 – Reinstatement of Sub-base and Road-base in Non-bituminous Materials

• Network Experience: Proven experience working on fibre networks (e.g. Openreach, CityFibre, or similar).

• Civils Expertise: Skilled in the use of mechanical civils tools and equipment. • Health and Safety: Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard identification, and safe

working practices. • Telecoms Experience: Hands-on experience in telecommunications infrastructure. • Customer Service: Ability to deliver an exceptional level of service to customers. • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Capable of working independently while collaborating
